Services for Patsy Marie Commander Vaughan, of Brookhaven, are11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 6 at Riverwood Family Funeral ServiceChapel.

Visitation is today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Vaughan, 56, died Jan. 3, 2006, at her residence. She wasborn on June 30, 1949, to Willard Marcus Commander and Sue LambCommander.

She was a teacher at Brookhaven Elementary School. She hadtaught school for 34 years. She was a member of First UnitedMethodist Church, where she served as an Adult Sunday schoolteacher.

Preceding her in death were her father; and her nephew, RobbieHerring.

Survivors are her husband, Howard Vaughan, of Brookhaven; herson, Charles Marcus Vaughan, of Brookhaven; her daughter, SusanahLauren Vaughan, of Brookhaven; her sisters, Mildred Ann Herring andher husband, James, and Sue Carol Trantham and her husband, Cecil,all of Brookhaven; and a host of nieces and nephews.
