Services for Wendell Hart, of Bogue Chitto, are 11 a.m.Saturday, Jan. 14 at Brookhaven Funeral Home with burial in theBogue Chitto Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 4 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Hart, 71, died Jan. 12, 2006, at Countrybook Living Center.He was born in Lincoln County on Oct. 5, 1934, to Alton Hart andEdith Rose Cannon Hart.

He was owner-operator of Hart Lumber Co. He worked for SimmonsMobile Homes. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for many yearsand was postmaster at Bogue Chitto. He was a member of Bogue ChittoBaptist Church where he served as deacon. He was a Mason andShriner. He was a member of the Bogue Chitto Lodge. He also servedin the Army.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a brother, Dennis LloydHart; and two nieces, Regina Lynn Hart and Belinda Kay Hart.

Survivors are his brothers, Roger Hart and his wife, Wyonzie, ofBogue Chitto, and Huey Hart and his wife, Marilyn, of Brookhaven;his sisters, Syble Lang and her husband, Roger, of McComb,Christine Morton and her husband, Spence, of Dallas, Janis Landrum,of Flowood, and Frances Davis, of Madison; and several nieces andnephews.

Pallbearers will be his Sunday school class.

His nephews will serve as honorary pallbearers.
