Services for David Brian Laird, of Brookhaven, were 11 a.m. Jan.26 at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel with burial in NewSalem Church of Christ Cemetery.

Mr. Laird, 50, died Jan. 24, 2006, at his residence. He was bornin Albuquerque, N.M., on Feb. 13, 1955, to David W. Laird and EvaNell Smith Laird.

He was a truck driver and a DJ for WBKN radio in Brookhaven. Hewas a member of Brookway Church of Christ.

Preceding him in death was his father.

Survivors are his mother; his wife, Gaye Laird, of Brookhaven;his son, Shay Laird, of Atlanta, Ga.; his stepsons, Shawn Tolbert,of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Iain Mathes and his wife, Heather,of Brookhaven; his brother, Kevin Laird and his wife, Robin, ofBrookhaven; his sisters, Linda Joyce Laird and Wanda Laird Griffinand her husband, Howard, all of Brookhaven; and one grandchild,Lauren Mathes.
