Dr. Judith Breland, the Stone County agent, agreed.

“There have been many questions about the Medicare D program,”she said. “This is an opportunity for individuals to listen to aknowledgeable speaker and get questions answered.”

Although the presentation will be broadcast on video to theLincoln County and other extension services, attendees at thoselocations will still be able to ask questions directly to thepresenter, Brumfield said.

“It’s truly interactive,” he said. “They can talk back andforth.”

Space at the Brookhaven office on the second floor of theBrookhaven-Lincoln County Government Complex is limited.

“We probably can’t hold more than 20 people in our space,”Brumfield said. “It’ll be a first come, first served basis.”

Demand will dictate whether the Brookhaven office attempts tohold its own seminar, Brumfield said.

“If we have good attendance Monday, we’ll look at having anotherand larger seminar” at some future date, he said.

The free presentation is sponsored by the MSU Extension Service,Stone County Rural Health Coalition, Cahaba Government BenefitAdministrators, Medicare and Social Security.
