Services for Lessie Mae Catt Russell, of Jackson, formerly ofLawrence County, are 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24 at Wilson Funeral Homewith burial in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Monticello.

Visitation is today from 5 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Russell, 92, died Feb. 21, 2006, at St. Dominic/JacksonMemorial Hospital. She was born on Dec. 2, 1913, to Ilance Catt andNora Rutland Catt.

She was a hardworking homemaker and helped her husband inanything that needed to be done. She also worked as a bar tackseamstress for 12 years with Edward Hymand Manufacturing Co., inPrentiss. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, EthanAllen Russell; her grandsons, David and Donnie McEwen; herbrothers, Prentis, Preston and Hollis Catt; her sisters, Elsa Ward,Isabelle Neal and Myrtis Lambert; and several wonderful brothers-and sisters-in-law.

Survivors are her daughter, Eloise McEwen and her husband, Dr.Fred McEwen, of Jackson; her brother Earl Catt, of Monticello; andher grandson, Fred McEwen III.
