Services for Imelda M. Johnston, of Bogue Chitto, are 10 a.m.Tuesday, Feb. 28 at Adams United Methodist Church with burial inthe church cemetery. Hartman Funeral Home of McComb is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is today from 5 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Johnston, 83, died Feb. 26, 2006 at McComb Extended Care.She was born in Lincoln County on June 17, 1922, to Dudley May andEula May.

She was a housewife. She was a member of Adams United MethodistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her brother, D.W. May;and her sisters, Mildred Reeves and Lavelle Lewis.

Survivors are her husband, Melvin A. Johnston Sr.; her son,Melvin A. Johnston Jr. and wife Scoopie, of Bonita, La.; herbrother, James May, of McComb; her sisters, Hilda Ray Douglas, ofBrookhaven, Thelma Wells and husband James Hugh Wells, of McComb,and Eula Faye Hancock, of Summit; two grandchildren; fivegreat-grandchildren; one step grandchild; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
