James M. ‘Poz’ Hux Sr.

Services for James M. “Poz” Hux Sr., of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Wednesday, April 26, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapelwith burial in Mission Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 3 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Hux, 57, died April 24, 2006, at Mississippi Baptist MedicalCenter. He was born on Sept. 5, 1948, to Monroe H. Hux and MinnieMae Rippy Hux.

He was disabled.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his grandchild, ZacheryRivers; his niece, Kim Ritz; and his mother-in-law, Mary M.Bridges.

Survivors are his wife, Barbara Ann Hux, of Brookhaven; hissons, Stanton “Poz” Hux, James M. Hux Jr., Darron Wallace and JamieWallace, all of Brookhaven; his daughter, Theresia Norris, ofBrookhaven; his brothers, Calvin P. Hux Sr., of Wesson, and ClaudeA. Hux, of Bogue Chitto; his sisters, Edna M. Buitt, of BogueChitto, and Peggy Ritz, of Brookhaven; his father-in-law, BarryBridges, of Brookhaven; his 17 grandchildren and twogreat-grandchildren.

Marie Cotten Tillotson

Services for Marie Cotten Tillotson, of Brookhaven, are 3 p.m.Wednesday, April 26, at First Baptist Church of Brookhaven withburial in Rosehill Cemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in chargeof arrangements.

Visitation is today from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home, andon Wednesday, from 2 until 3, at the church.

Mrs. Tillotson, 90, died April 24, 2006, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. She was born in Franklin County on Aug. 12, 1915,to Otis Cotten and Rosa McManus Cotten.

She was a housewife. She was a member of First BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, WesleyTillotson; her brothers, Gerod Cotten, Atwood Cotten, BernardCotten and Jerry Cotten; and her sister, Patsy Jones.

Survivors are her daughter, Nancy Evans, of Brookhaven; herbrother, James Cotten, of Natchez; and her grandchildren, Laura andStephen Evans.
