Tommy J. Cox

Graveside services for Tommy J. Cox, of Brookhaven, were 11 a.m.today, April 28, at New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in LawrenceCounty. Community Funeral Services is in charge ofarrangements.

Mr. Cox, 82, died April 27, 2006, at Haven Hall Health CareCenter. He was born on May 31, 1923, to Tommy Cox and Betty CarrCox.

He was retired. He served in the Navy.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his wife, MaryCox.

Survivors are his brother, James Drumright, of Gulfport; and hissisters, Dorothy Hill and Elizabeth Cox, both of Brookhaven.

Winnie Mae Morgan

Services for Winnie Mae Morgan, of Crosby, are 1 p.m. Saturday,April 29, at Crosby Union Baptist Church with burial in WoodlawnCemetery in Gloster. Marshall Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of theservice at the church.

Ms. Morgan, 77, died April 23, 2006, at her residence. She wasborn in Laurel on Dec. 9, 1928, to Wesley and Louise Morgan.

Preceding her in death was her father.

Survivors are her mother, Louise Bond Morgan, of Painesville,Ohio; her daughters, Amie Robinson, Valerie Colenburg, VickieColenburg and Lynette Colenburg, of Houston, Texas; her sons,Charles Bateaste, of McComb, James Bateaste, of Crosby, RufusColenburg, of Dallas, Texas, and Fredrick Colenburg, of Liberty;her brothers, Herthon and Cephus Morgan, of Painesville; and a hostof grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives andfriends.

Charles Murray

Services for Charles Murray, of New Orleans, La., are 1 p.m.Saturday, April 29, at Mt. Pleasant M.B. Church in Sontag withburial in the church cemetery. Williams Mortuary is in charge ofarrangements.

Mr. Murray, 66, died April 24, 2006, in New Orleans. He was bornin Georgetown on Dec. 30, 1939, to Willie Murray and MaudeMurray.

He was retired.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his son, KeithNewton.

Survivors are his sons, Antoine Newton, Ray Newton and KemanAllen; his daughter, Gwendolyn Newton; his sister, Nora Williams;five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, and many otherrelatives.
