Clifford Allen Berryhill

Services for Clifford Allen Berryhill, of Smithdale, were 11a.m. Saturday, April 29, at Mt. Gilead Primitive Baptist Church inSmithdale with burial in the church cemetery. Hartman Funeral Homeis in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Berryhill, 52, died April 26, 2006, at his residence. He wasborn in McComb on June 6, 1953, to Robert Douglas Berryhill Sr. andBonnie Cowart Berryhill.

He was a loader operator with Byrd Lumber. He was a member ofthe Morgan Fork Coon Hunters Association and a longtime supporterof Franklin County 4-H. Mr. Berryhill cowboyed a few years on thepayroll; all the other years he did it for free. Cowboying is notsomething you do, it’s who you are. He was a member of Mt. GileadPrimitive Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death was his father.

Survivors are his mother, Bonnie Cowart Berryhill, of Smithdale;his wife of 26 years, Sandra Evans Berryhill, of Smithdale; hissons, Clinton Lane Berryhill, Charles Cody Berryhill and DavidLawrence Berryhill, all of Smithdale; his daughters, Brandy LynnHill, of Brandon, Sandra Lianne Berryhill, Lyndle “Lyndy” SusanneBerryhill, Patti Elisabeth “Betsy” Berryhill and Vana KathrynBerryhill, all of Smithdale; his brothers, Robert D. “Bobby”Berryhill Jr., George F. “Bubba” Berryhill and William K. “Keith”Berryhill, all of Smithdale; his grandsons, Julian Andrew Hill andJordan Addison Hill; his mother-in-law, Edna J. Evans, ofBrookhaven; and a special nephew Will Berryhill and wife HeatherM., of Smithdale.

Pallbearers were Wade McCluskey, Phillip Spring, Taylor Wells,Pat Larkin, Lawrence Perritt, Shelly Cowart, Tim Dillon and WillBerryhill.

Norman J. Martin

Graveside services for Norman J. Martin, of Monticello, are 2p.m. Monday, May 1, at New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. WilsonFuneral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeralhome.

Mr. Martin, 77, died Saturday, April 29, 2006 at Lawrence CountyNursing Home. He was born in Marion County on January 30, 1929, toSamuel Martin and Docia Anna Russell.

He was a veteran of the Korean War with the Army. He was amember of South Gate Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents and his sisters.

Grover Venson Wallace

Services for Grover Venson Wallace, of the Montgomery community,are 1:30 p.m. today at Montgomery Baptist Church with burial in thechurch cemetery. Catchings Funeral Home is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is from 12:30 p.m. until time of service atMontgomery Baptist Church.

Mr. Wallace, 80, died April 28, 2006 at his home. He was born inLincoln County on April 7, 1926, to Marshall Wallace and BessieBrown Wallace.

He was a retired iron worker.

Preceding him in death were his parents and step mother, LucilleWallace; his brother, Carl Wallace; his sisters, Magalene Pettigrewand Bonnie Mae Adams; and his son, Ronnie Lane Wallace.

Survivors are his wife, Nadine Moak Wallace; his sons, GlennWallace and his wife, Jackie, Alan Wallace and his wife, Cindy,Kenneth Wallace and his wife, Dana; his daughter, Nancy Wallace andher husband, Paul; his sisters, Emma Jean Moak and Nell Gatlin;eight grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Mallory Annabelle Waldrop

Services for Mallory Annabelle Waldrop, of Monticello, are 1p.m. Monday, May 1, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burialin Pleasant Grove Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5 to 10 p.m. at the funeral home.

Infant Waldrop, 11 weeks, died April 27, 2006 at her home. Shewas born on February 14, 2006, to Daniel Aaron Waldrop and StaceyYaskovic Waldrop, of Monticello.

Survivors are her parents, of Monticello; her sister, MakaylaBrister, of Monticello; her grandparents, Bruce Waldrop and BelindaWaldrop, of Monticello, and Christine McCauley, of Calif.; hergreat-grandparents, Buddy Brown and Barbara Brown, of Wesson, andCharles Griffith and Carolyn Griffith, of Monticello; and a host ofaunts and uncles.
