Services for Omie S. Smith, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m. Saturday,May 20, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel with burial inDamascus Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation is today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mrs. Smith, 92, died May 18, 2006, at Beverly Health Care. Shewas born on April 26, 1914, to Earn Smith and Mary Watts Smith.
She was retired from her job as a nurse aide at King’s DaughtersMedical Center, where she had worked for 20 years. She was a memberof Damascus Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, LouisSmith; her son, Percy Ray Smith; her sisters, Earnie Ledding andGeorgia Gillis; her brother and sister-in-law, Homer and GaySmith.
Survivors are her daughters, Rose Mary Case and fiance EdFauver, of Brookhaven, Judy Townsend and husband Phillip, of Ruth,and Mary Louise Smith, of Brookhaven; her brother, Vernon Smith andwife Ann, of Brookhaven; her sister, Cossie Kyzar, of Vidalia, La.;her seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and threegreat-great-grandchildren.
