Services for Homer Clayton Case, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.Wednesday, May 31, at Riverwood Family Funeral Service Chapel withburial in Clear Branch Baptist Church Cemetery in Wesson.

Visitation is today from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Case, 81, died May 28, 2006, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born on Sept. 26, 1924, to Thomas Wilford Case Sr.,and Lillian Nations Case.

He was retired. He served as a leader for Boeing Aviation in NewOrleans, La., where he was in charge of the “H” Ring Section of theSaturn V Booster Rocket that propelled the first man on the moon.His name is listed in the Smithsonian under “Roll of Honor Saturn VMan on the Moon Mission.” He served in the Merchant Marines duringWorld War II.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his brothers, GarlandEmile Case, T.W. Case Jr., Charles Howard Case and George Will RoyCase.

Survivors are his wife, Lillian Virginia Watson Case; his sons,Mitchell Lynn and wife Milly N. Case, and Mark Randal and wifeCharity Ann Case, all of Brookhaven; his sister, Ada Lois CaseBessonette, of Brookhaven; and his granddaughter, Markie AnnCase.
