Tuesday’s June Tunes will feature the bluegrass melodies of theMcCall Creek Band.
Event organizers suggest visitors bring a lawn chair or ablanket and enjoy the shade and live music while eating lunch.Lemonade will be provided in the historic cabin.
The event is sponsored by the chamber’s Retirement Committee. One of the subtle goals of the event is to reach out and identifynew residents, said Sheila Porch, a committee member.
Jazz and Java was “a real success,” she said. “We got a lot ofnames.”
The popularity of last month’s event prompted committee membersto host another quickly, Porch said. Many visitors to Jazz and Javaasked when a second event would be held.
