Earnest Lee ‘Jimmy’ Scott
Services for Earnest Lee “Jimmy” Scott, of Brookhaven, are 2p.m. Saturday, June 24, at Mt. Ridge Methodist Church in Brandonwith burial in the church cemetery. Williams Mortuary is in chargeof arrangements.
Visitation is Friday from 1 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home,with family hour from 7 until 8 p.m.
Mr. Scott, 58, died June 18, 2006, at his residence. He was bornon May 10, 1948, in Brandon, to Louis Scott and Annie B. ColemanScott.
He was disabled. He was a member of Mt. Ridge MethodistChurch.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his sisters, JulieColeman, Sluckett Scott, O.C. Hobb, Magnolia Brown, LauraChristmas, Alberta Branch, Annie Mae Scott, Ernestine Scott, DessieRee Scott and Ruby Scott; his brothers, L.C. Scott, S.B. Scott,Ellis Scott, Grady Scott, Willie B. Scott, Arthur L. Scott andEddie Scott.
Survivors are his daughters, Deborah Diggs and husband Fred, ofRidgeland, Linda Barnes, of Brookhaven, and Victoria Bridges, ofNatchez; his sons, Mark Barnes and Douglas Bridges, both ofBrookhaven; his brothers, John Scott and wife Ella Ree, and WoodrowScott and wife Jessie Mae, all of Brookhaven; his sister, Eva GraceKelly, of Brandon; his three grandchildren; and a host of nieces,nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mary H. Vaughn Stanford
Services for Mary H. Vaughn Stanford, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Saturday, June 24, at Abundant Life Christian Church Center inBrookhaven with burial in Hillcrest Cemetery. Tyler Funeral Home isin charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Friday from noon until 5 p.m. at the funeralhome.
Mrs. Stanford, 66, died June 17, 2006, at her residence. She wasborn on March 6, 1940, to John Vaughn and Mary Jackson Vaughn.
She was a graduate of Alexander High School in Brookhaven. Shewas retired from her job with Ed’s Cleaners. She was a member ofAbundant Life Christian Church Center.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, ElmerStanford; her brother, Robert Vaughn; and her sister, VelmaSmith.
Survivors are her sons, Rickey Vaughn, of Rolling Fork, andAnthony Vaughn, of Brookhaven; her daughters, Shirley VaughnStewart, of Bryan, Texas, Tonya Vaughn King, of Jackson, and KathyVaughn Allen, of Brookhaven; and her nine grandchildren and fourgreat-grandchildren.
