NATCHEZ — The Wesson all-stars shut out the Brookhaven AmericanLeague 5-0 Saturday night in the Dixie Youth Baseball AAA NorthSubdistrict Six Tournament at Duncan Park. Wesson remains unbeatenin the double-elimination tournament.

Bailey Warren pitched the shutout. He struck out 8 batters,walked 1 and allowed 2 hits.

Andrew Culver pitched for the Americans and took the loss. In 5innings, he fanned 7 batters, walked 3 and hit 1, giving up 2hits.

The Nationals got singles from Landon Nettles and TrestonRoberts.

Wesson’s C.J. Viramontez had 2 singles. Nettles and Warren eachhad 1 hit.

The Americans play Natchez Monday at 6 p.m. Wesson faces Copiahat 8.
