Herman W. ‘Boogie’ Hickman Sr.

Services for Herman W. “Boogie” Hickman Sr., of Summit, are 2p.m. Saturday, July 8, at Jones Family Funeral Services Chapel inMcComb with burial in Pike Memorial Gardens in McComb. The Revs.Vann Windom and Lloyd Thompson will officiate.

Visitation is today from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home, andon Saturday, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Mr. Hickman, 76, died July 6, 2006, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center in McComb. He was born in Lincoln County onDec. 21, 1929, to Herman Wilson and Lottie Mae Smith Hickman.

He was retired from Mississippi Department of Transportation. Hewas a member of West McComb Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his sister, LorenaJenkins; and his brother, Clayton Hickman.

Survivors are his wife, Bobbie F. Hickman, of Summit; his son,Herman W. Hickman Jr., of Summit; his sisters and brothers-in-law,Mildred Hutson and Bill, of Magnolia, Louise Felder, of McComb; andHarold Furlow, of Wesson; his sister-in-law, Aline Allen, ofMcComb; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Bernice and RoyBenoit, of Summit, and Margie and Billy Smith, of Wesson; and ahost of family and friends.

Pallbearers are Carlton Delaney, Shawn Delaney, Herman Hutson,Tracy Smith, Greg Smith, Darrell Allen and Anthony Case.
