Services for Christine B. Coleman, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m.Saturday, Aug. 5 at Mt. Wade Baptist Church with burial inHillcrest Cemetery.

Visitation is today from noon until 6 p.m. at Marshall FuneralHome chapel in Brookhaven and Saturday from 9 until 11 a.m. at thechurch.

Mrs. Coleman, 85, died July 31, 2006, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. She was born in Sumrall on Sept. 27, 1920, toUlysses Bryant and Fannie Lowe Bryant.

Preceding her in death were four children who died at birth;four sisters, Geneva Glasper, Gertrude Bryant, Catherin Bryant andPolly Bryant; three brothers, Ray Bryant, Percy Bryant and LeslieBryant.

Survivors are her husband, James Coleman Sr.; seven daughters,Myrtis Hunter, Betty Glasper, Irma Coleman, Maxine Robinson, PattyColeman, Rosie Coleman, Patrina Collins; six sons, James ColemanJr., John Coleman, Sylvester Coleman, Robert Coleman, CharlieColeman and David Coleman; two brothers, Ulysses Bryant and VersieBryant; a host of grand- and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews,other relatives and friends.

James Mosley Hart

Services for James Mosley Hart, of Wesson, are 2 p.m. Saturday,Aug. 5 at Spring Hill Baptist Church with burial in Spring HillCemetery.

Visitation is today from 5 until 8 p.m. at Stringer FamilyFuneral Service in Hazlehurst.

Mr. Hart, 81, died Aug. 3, 2006, at his residence. He was nativeof Bogue Chitto.

He had lived in Hazlehurst for many years and was the owner andfounder of Hart’s Grocery for 46 years. He was a World War II U.S.Army veteran and received the Purple Heart. He was a member ofFirst Baptist Church.

Survivors are his sons, Danny Hart, of Madison, Mike Hart ofHazlehurst and Horst Maggard, of Clarksville, Tenn.; his daughterKaren Nettles, of Brookhaven, his sister, Polly Ragland,of Jackson;six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Arvel F. ‘Buster’ Thomas Jr.

Services for Arvel F. “Buster” Thomas Jr., of Brookhaven, are 11a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5 at Riverwood Family Funeral Service chapelwith burial in Sweetwater Methodist Church Cemetery.

Visitation is today from 5 until 8 p.m. and Saturday from 8until 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Thomas, 66, died Aug. 3, 2006, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born on July 24, 1940, to Arvel F. Thomas Sr. andEtta Margaret Stanfield Thomas.

He was a former sales/plant manager for Keystone Seneca andretired from New York Wire Co., as a district manager. He served inthe U.S. Army and was a member of Sweetwater Methodist Church. Hewas a member of the Jaycees and an avid golfer.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and one sister, SandraHinton, of Benton, Ky.

Survivors are his sons, Arvel F. “Trey” Thomas III and his wifeRhonda, of Brookhaven; his daughter, Carol Ann Smith, ofBrookhaven; his brothers, Frank Thomas and his wife Sheila, ofLucedale, and Richard Thomas and his wife Nancy, of Clinton, Ky.;and his five grandchildren, Kellie Case, Colton Smith, Mason Smith,Anna Thomas and Abby Thomas.
