MEADVILLE — The Franklin County Lady Bulldogs knocked off theWest Lincoln Lady Bears 2-1 in slowpitch softball action Tuesdaynight.

Franklin led 1-0 until West Lincoln tied it 1-all in the top ofthe seventh. In the bottom of the seventh, the Lady Bulldogsrecorded the game-winning run.

Heather Havard fanned three and walked one for the win. WestLincoln’s Stephanie Smith had no strikeouts and walked one.

West Lincoln outhit Franklin 8-5. The Lady Bears committed threeerrors to the Lady Bulldogs’ one.

Monea Cameron doubled for Franklin. Courtney Reid singled twice.Melissa McFarland and Latoya Williams singled.

West Lincoln got a pair of singles from Heather Huff. AlexisCook, Kacey Smith, Hannah Knouse, Ashley McCaffrey and Kelsey Basssingled.

Brookhaven visits West Lincoln Thursday for a twinbill, startingat 5 p.m. with a junior varsity game. Brookhaven hosts FranklinCounty Friday night.
