Hollis Crayton Conn

Graveside services for Hollis Crayton Conn, of Blairsville, Ga.,formerly of Jackson, are 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, at EasthavenCemetery. Brookhaven Funeral Home is in charge of localarrangements. Cochran Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements inBlairsville.

Mr. Conn, 92, died Aug. 22, 2006, at Heritage Health Care ofBlue Ridge in Blue Ridge, Ga. He was born in Lincoln County on Feb.10, 1914, to Benjamin Cornelius Conn and Carrie Drummond Conn.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked as an accountantfor most of his life with Luzianne Coffee Co., and also with H& R Block. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Jackson,where he was also a choir member.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Ina BrockConn, in 1993; his sister, Etta Mae Smith; and his grandson,Michael Reed.

Survivors are his daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and MikeReed, of Jacksonville, Fla.; his sister, Tommie McHale, of Montana;and his brother, J.B. Conn, of Melbourne, Fla.

A memorial service for Jessie Eugene Hamrick Jr., ofPoplarville, will be held 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, at FaithMemorial Church in Poplarville. Riemann Memorial Funeral Home inGulfport is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Hamrick died Aug. 19, 2006, in Poplarville.

He is survived by his wife, Teeny Hamrick; his stepson, TylerDecker; his mother and stepfather, Cynthia and Monroe Frazer, ofPoplarville; his father and stepmother, Jessie Eugene Hamrick Sr.,and Dorothy Hamrick, of Wesson; his grandmother, Margaret Gosnell,of Brookhaven; his sisters, Kimberly Kohler, of Lumberton, andTiffany Matthews, of Poplarville; and his nieces, nephews, otherrelatives and many friends.
