Services for Mitchell Lee Wallace, of Bogue Chitto, are 11 a.m.Saturday, Sept. 2, at Catchings Funeral Home Chapel in McComb withburial in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in McComb. The Rev. JeffDavis will officiate.

Visitation is today from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home, andon Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.

Mr. Wallace, 58, died Aug. 31, 2006, at his residence. He wasborn in McComb on Aug. 12, 1948, to Carl Wilson Wallace and EdithInez Freeman Wallace.

He was a retired boilermaker and member of Local Union 582. Hewas a U.S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam and received thePurple Heart. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in BogueChitto. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one grandchild.

Survivors are his wife of 36 years, Mary Adams Wallace, of BogueChitto; his children, Vinson Wallace and wife Erica, of Baker, La.,Lorraine Dobbs and husband Don, of Pride, La., and Nathan Wallaceand wife Chrissy, of Baker; his brother, Gerald Wallace and wifeCindy, of Bogue Chitto; his sisters, Carolyn Deer and husbandWayne, of Baker, and Dianne Russell and husband Danny, of Lucien;his grandchildren, Nicholas Ryan Waxley, Dustin Shawn Waxley,Alyssa Aryn Waxley, Russell Buck Wallace, Rhett Corey Wallace; andnumerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Adam Wallace, Blake Wallace, Eugene Moak, JustinMoak, Earl Moak, Wayne Moak, Merle Moak and Jimmy Freeman.
