Services for Olevia “Larry” Lyons, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m.Monday, Sept. 18, at St. Luke M.B. Church in Brookhaven with burialin Hillcrest Cemetery in Brookhaven. R.E. Tyler Funeral Home is incharge of arrangements.

Visitation is Sunday from noon until 7 p.m. with family presentfrom 6 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lyons, 97, died Sept. 12, 2006, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. She was born on Feb. 13, 1909, to Pink Lyons and ElnoraVictoria Hines Lyons.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Luke M.B. Church inBrookhaven, and had been the oldest living member there. She servedon the Motherboard and the Home Mission.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, JerryHatchett; her brothers, Otis and Silas Lyons; and her sisters,Lela, Ardella, Lula, Pearlie and Ethel.

Her daughter, Lela Mae Lewis, of Columbia, died today.

Survivors are her daughter, Elaine Hatchett Rancifer, ofBrookhaven; and her 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 29great-great-grandchildren.
