Lady Bears rip Enterprise

The host West Lincoln Lady Bears knocked off the Enterprise LadyYellow Jackets 7-0 in division slowpitch softball action Thursdaynight.

“We hit the ball a lot better,” said West Lincoln coach AndrewRedd. “My defense did a good job tonight. Defense kept them off thebases.”

Stephanie Smith was the winning pitcher with one walks.Absorbing the loss was Nicole Sandifer with a walk.

Holli Smith and Keri Easley led West Lincoln (12-8, 7-2) with adouble and a single apiece. Tripling was Alexis cook. Collecting adouble each were Megan Neal, Stephanie Smith and Carrie Farver. Apair of singles were hit by Ashley McCaffery. Singling were KaceySmith, Hannah Knouse and Heather Huff.

West Lincoln seniors recognized were Kelsey Bass and HeatherHuff.

“West Lincoln played a defensive game,” said Enterprise coachSteve Sasser. “We are playing hard and working hard. But WestLincoln is a very good defensive team.”

Pacing Enterprise (9-14, 2-7) with a pair of singles was LindseyEverett. Singling were Karla Beth Hux and Katie Hux.

Junior varsity game

Enterprise recorded a 9-5 victory over West Lincoln.Lacey Orr was the winning pitcher with one strikeout and one walks.Jessica Franklin took the loss, fanning one and walkingthree.

Pacing the Lady Jackets at the plate were Karla Beth Huxwith a triple and two singles. Singling twice each were Sarah Burkeand Caitlyn Moak. Hitting safely were Ashley Greer, Hannah Russelland Chynna Coghlan.

West Lincoln got a double and a single from HaleyAinsworth. Katie Mullins and Taylor Crews ripped a pair of singlesapiece. Karli Herrington, Jessica Franklin and Alana Cupit hitsafely

In Monday’s games, West Lincoln is at Salem andEnterprise host Bogue Chitto for senior night.
