City man hurt in bike mishap

A Brookhaven man was recovering at a Jackson hospital Saturdayfollowing a motorcycle accident Friday evening near Terry, hisgrandmother said.
Tyson Davis, 21, a student at Copiah-Lincoln Community College,sustained broken arms and legs in the accident that happened around6:30 p.m. Friday on Interstate 55 south, said Carol Brewer.
“He’s got several fractures and broken bones, but he’s going tobe all right,” Brewer said.
Davis, the son of Donna and Buck Davis, was being treated at theUniversity of Mississippi Medical Center. The younger Davis alsosustained a head injury, but Brewer said his condition was stillstable and the situation was being monitored.
“We’re concerned about it, but it’s not to the point the doctorsthink it’s real serious,” Brewer said.
Brewer said Davis was wearing a helmet and leather jacket whenthe accident happened. She did not have any details about theaccident as family members have not had a chance to speak withauthorities.
Brewer said the family appreciated prayers from communitychurches and asked for continued support as Davis makes hisrecovery.
“It has really kept us going,” she said of the community’ssupport.
