Services for Florida “Floyd” Williams Rhymes, of Hazlehurst, are11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10 at Greater Damascus Church of ChristHoliness USA with burial in Hunter Cemetery. Kenneth I. RobersonFuneral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Thursday from 2 until 7 p.m. at Hazlehurst FuneralHome in Hazlehurst.

Mrs. Rhymes, 81, died Nov. 3, 2006, at her residence. She wasborn in Copiah County on June 5, 1925, to Louis Williams and CoraCovington Williams.

She was a member of Wilderness Judea Church of Christ HolinessUSA and a former employee of Edward Hyman Garment Factory. Sheloved flowers and sewing. She was the widow of Jake Rhymes Jr.

Survivors are her six daughters, Christine Williams, of Chicago,Ill., Maude Roberson, of Brookhaven, Malinda Jones, CelestineFulgham, Clemetine Catchings and Cassandra Johnson, all ofHazlehurst; four sons, Howard Rhymes, of St. Louis, Mo., MarvinRhymes, of Jackson, Edward Rhymes, of Hazlehurst, and MichaelRhymes, of Ripley, Tenn.; three sisters, Ruthie Jones and DorisMorris, both of Hazlehurst and Demaris Killingsworth, of Cleveland;one brother, Eli Williams, of Memphis, Tenn.; 43 grandchildren; 41great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
