William ‘Buddy’ Buie

Services for William (Willie) “Buddy” Buie, of Brookhaven, are 2p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, at Friendship M.B. Church in Brookhavenwith burial in the church cemetery. R.E. Tyler Funeral Home is incharge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 7 p.m. at the funeral home,with family present from 6 until 7 p.m.

Mr. Buie, 72, died Nov. 12, 2006, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center in McComb. He was born on Dec. 13, 1933, toWilliam Buie and Lyntee Williams Buie.

He was a retired pulpwood hauler. He was a member of FriendshipM.B. Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his sister, EarnestineCampbell; and two daughters.

Survivors are his wife, Ora Bell Buie, of Scooba; his sons,Robert Brice and Willie Brice, both of Brookhaven, Jerry Buie, ofPorterville, Troy Calcote, Joseph Buie and Andre Buie, all of St.Louis, Mo.; his daughters, Michelle and Grace Brice, both ofBrookhaven, Francine Chaney, of Panola, Ala., Sarah Knox, ofScooba, Helen Thompson, Alma Stevenson, Deborah Rusan, Rosie Buie,Brenda Johnson, all of St. Louis; Willie Faye Harris, Anita Buieand Donnis Whittaker, all of Milwaukee, Wis.; his sisters, AliceCraig, of Brookhaven, and Lerlean Fleming, of California; his 54grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
