Services for former Lincoln County Chancery Clerk Carrol DevonCalhoun, of Brookhaven, were Saturday, Nov. 25, at Riverwood FamilyFuneral Service with burial in Riverwood Memorial Park.

Mr. Calhoun, 75, died Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2006, at hisresidence. He was born on June 15, 1931, to Earl Calhoun and MaryLuticia Bardwell Calhoun.

He was a graduate of Whitworth College and a U.S. Air Forceveteran of the Korean Conflict.

In addition to serving as Chancery Clerk from 1968 until 1979,he was the owner of C & M Milling Co. He was also the formermanager of Brookhaven Production Credit and Equitable Insurance Co.He was a member of the Mississippi Cattlemen’s Association and theLincoln County Cattlemen’s Association, from which he received the2001 Lifetime Achievement Award. He was a member of DivideMethodist Protestant Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his former wife, JaniceSmith Calhoun; his brothers, William Calhoun and Robert Calhoun;his sister-in-law, Beth Calhoun; and his brothers-in-law, JollySistrunk and Duvall Cothern.

Survivors are his wife, Sharon Evans Calhoun; his sons, CareyCalhoun and wife Susan, of Brookhaven, and Pate Calhoun and wifeAmanda, of Diamondhead; his daughters, Tanya Camp and husband Doug,of Starkville, and Kelly Allen and husband Ricky, of Brookhaven;his brother, James Calhoun and wife Maude; his sisters, YzelleCothern, Doris Holmes and husband Norman; his sister-in-law, EdnaCalhoun; and his six grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Deaconess Hospice or the Alzheimer’sAssociation.
