Richard L. Claus, of South Chicago Heights, Ill., died Dec. 11,2006. Services were private. Smits Funeral Homes-Stegner MemorialChapel was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Claus is survived by his two daughters, Annette UmFleet, ofShelby, Ind., and Janie Keene, of Brookhaven; his son: RichardClaus Jr., of South Chicago Heights; his brother: William Claus;his sister Jeanine Peterson; and his six grandchildren.
