Services for Judge Brown, of Meadville, were 11 a.m. Wednesday,Dec. 27, at Jerusalem Baptist Church in Kirby with burial in HuntCemetery. Marshall Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Brown, 85, died Dec. 24, 2006, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center. He was born in Franklin County on April16, 1921, to Albert Brown and Fannie Parker.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Berdie MaeBrown; his sons, Jerry Lee Brown Sr. and Ronnie Brown Sr.; hissisters, Lottie Bee and Eula M. Kelly, and Gary Leggett; and hisbrother, Nathaniel Spriggs.

Survivors are his daughters, Minnie Wilson, of Roxie, ClaraBrown, Gladiestine Brown, Carolyn Shaw, Linda Starks and StephanieHines, all of Meadville; his sons, George Gant Sr., Ray Brown Sr.and Jamey Brown Sr., all of Meadville; and 45 grandchildren; 42great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relativesand friends.
