Services for Howard “Curley” Washington, of Brookhaven, are atnoon, today, Dec. 28, at Tyler Funeral Home with burial in CarverHeights Cemetery in Brookhaven.

Mr. Washington, 93, died Dec. 24, 2006, at Countrybrook LivingCenter. He was born on Nov. 5, 1913, to William Washington andLydia Washington.

He was a retired auto mechanic and construction worker. He was amember of Crump Chapel U.M. Church in Brookhaven.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Callie LeeWashington; two sons, Shelton and Joe Howard Washington; twograndchildren; his brothers, Sam, George, Anthony, Rufus andJohnnie Washington; and his sisters, Goldia Mae Hudson, Dessie MaeWashington and Louvenia Washington.

Survivors are his son, Robert Washington, of Gulfport; hisdaughter, Dorothy Lane Washington, of Muskegon, Mich.; his eightgrandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
