Mr. Lambert, 67, died Dec. 30, 2006, at his home. He was born inRuth on March 19, 1939, to Claude Lambert and Maxine KyzarLambert.

He was a retired pipe fitter. He was a member of Pleasant GroveUnited Methodist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his son, WilliamClayton Lambert; his sister, Claudine Adams; and his brother, J.P.Lambert.

Survivors are his wife, Peggy Tanner Lambert; his son, Chad EarlLambert, of Jayess; his daughter, Marilyn Maxine Gipson, ofLumberton; his sisters, Jewell Richie, of Jayess, and PeggyBarrilleaux, of Baton Rouge, La.; his grandchildren, Timothy GageGipson, of Lumberton, Zachary Clayton Lambert, of Jayess, HaleyNicole Lambert, of Jayess, Sonya Housley and Amy Barham; and twogreat-grandchildren.

Bula C. Metz

Services for Bula C. Metz, of Brookhaven, were 11 a.m. Monday,Jan. 1, at Brookhaven Funeral Home Chapel with burial in PleasantGrove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Metz, 77, died Dec. 30, 2006, at her home. She was born inSontag on Aug. 12, 1929, to Otto Cox and Leona Cook Cox.

She was a retired secretary to the athletic director ofLouisiana State University. She was a member of Pleasant GroveBaptist Church. She attended Montreat College in NorthCarolina.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her son, Frank GlenMetz Jr.; her brothers, Jode Cox and Buddy Cox; and her sister,Billie Jean Harris.

Survivors are her husband, Frank Glenn Metz, of Brookhaven; hersons, Roddie Metz and his wife, Shari W., of Greenwell Springs,La., Ricky Metz and his wife, Linda, of Tylertown, and Randy Metzand his wife, Gladys, of Freeport, Texas; her daughter, Sue AnnHibbard and her husband, Randy, of Walker, La.; her brothers,Jackie Cox and his wife, Roberta, of Texas, and Richard Cox and hiswife, Connie, of Arkansas; her sister Marlene Brumfield and herhusband, Jack, of Zawala, La., and Joyce Pardue and her husband,Raymond, of Greenwell Springs, La.; 15 grandchildren; and eightgreat-grandchildren.

Mrs. Metz’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

Services for Joyce A. Parker, of Sicily Island, La., were 11a.m. Monday, Jan. 1, at Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home inWinnsboro, La., with burial in Crowville Masonic Cemetery.

Mrs. Parker, 76, died Dec. 30, 2006, at St. Francis MedicalCenter in Monroe, La. She was born on Feb. 9, 1930, to ColumbusKelly Grimshaw and Wilma Myers Grimshaw.

She was a homemaker.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Robert Devonne ParkerSr. and her parents.

Survivors are her sons, Robert D. Parker Jr. and his wife,Deborah, of Winnsboro, La., and Kelly Mac Parker and his wife,Brenda, of Pearl; her daughters, Deborah Bozeman and her husbandJerry, of Jena, La., Robin Crum and her husband, Tommy, ofClewiston, Fla., Stephanie Varnado, of Ruth, and Kimberly Rogersand her husband, Larry, of Morristown, Tenn.; her brothers, JohnGrimshaw and James Grimshaw, both of Bossier City; her sisters,Betty Milby, of Monroe, La., Louise Howell and Mary Blake, both ofBossier City, La.; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; andnumerous nieces and nephews.

J.W. Roberts

Services for J.W. Roberts, of Natchez, were Saturday, Dec. 30,at Laird Funeral Home Union Street Chapel with burial in ArlingtonBaptist Church Cemetery in Lincoln County. Bro. Mike Harrigill andBro. Harry Johnson officiated services.

Mr. Roberts, 78, died Dec. 28, 2006, at his residence. He wasborn in Summit on Oct. 24, 1928, to Bonnie Lee Roberts and MaggieMoore Roberts.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Faye Roberts;his sons, Roy Lee Ray, Jerry Roberts and Joseph Roberts; and hisgranddaughter, Melissa Faye Ray.

Survivors are his sons, Phillip Ray and wife Lynn, of Natchez,Randy Roberts and wife Era, of Vidalia, La., and Glenn Roberts andwife Sue, of Summit; his daughter, Candace Pepper and husbandRaymond, of Summit; his grandchildren, Kristi and Skylar Simmons,Kimberly Ray, Carl, Adrena Faye, Bessie Ray and Roy Ray Jr.,Courtney Roberts Fanning, Anna Morgan, Tapper Hendricks, Katrinaand Paul Trospar, Chris, Christine Roberts, Vanessa and Floyd Kemp,Ember and Mark Sellers, and Stephen and Miranda Pepper; hisgreat-grandchildren, Colette Nicole Simmons, Anna Marie Roberts,Emily, Nathan, Jeffery and Joey Kemp, Ada Morgan, Caitlyn andClaire Hendricks; his brother, Donald Roberts and wife Joyce, ofNatchez; his sister, Billie Sue Wells and husband James, ofGreenwell Springs, La., and a host of nieces and nephews.
