Graveside services for Mary L. Ates, of Crystal Springs, are 10a.m. Monday, Jan. 22, at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. CommunityFuneral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Ates, 84, died Jan. 17, 2007, at Copiah Community CareCenter. She was born on Dec. 6, 1923, to J.C. Bass and BlancheYoung.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Harmony BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, BarneyAtes; her daughter, Terry L. Kees; and her son, Johnny Lee.

Survivors are her sons, Jack Farmer, of Crystal Springs, andRonald Farmer, of Wesson; her sister, Margie Burnett, ofSummerville, S.C.; and her three grandchildren and sixgreat-grandchildren.
