Services for Elton Lee Lofton Sr., of McCall Creek, are 11 a.m.Friday, Feb. 16, at Harrigill Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will beon a later date.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Lofton, 68, died Feb. 13, 2007, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born on Dec. 10, 1938, to Aaron Lee Lofton andMildred Says.

He was retired as a control room operator for Formosa Plasticsin Baton Rouge, La., after 33 years. He was secretary-treasurerwith the credit union. He was a veteran of U.S. Navy. He was amember of the Baptist faith.

Preceding him in death were his father and his wife, Peggy AnnScott Lofton.

Survivors are his sons, Elton Lee Lofton Jr., of McCall Creek,and Michael A. Lofton, of Thibodaux, La.; his stepson, RobertEvans, of Quentin; his grandchild, Elton Lee “Tré” Lofton III, ofMcCall Creek; his half brothers, Perry Lofton, of Baton Rouge, La.,and Jesse Lee Lofton, of Marksville, La.; his half sisters, Louise,Freda, Nora Ruth, Linda, all of Louisiana, and Sylvia, of Libya,North Africa.
