ACCS eludes BA Cougars

NATCHEZ — Adams County Christian School pushed home the winningrun in the bottom of the seventh inning and the Rebels eludedBrookhaven Academy 6-5 Monday in baseball action. Josh Calcote (1K, 2 BBs) was the winning pitcher and Jeremy James (1 K, 3 BBs)absorbed the loss.
Brookhaven Academy, coached by Stephen Cooksey, resumes playtonight in the Parklane Spring Break Tournament at McComb, meetingthe host Pioneers at 7 p.m.
At the plate, the BA Cougars were led by Zach Watson who doubledand singled. They took a 3-0 lead in the top of the second but ACCSresponded with 4 runs in the bottom of the same frame.
A double by Luke Brumfield led the Rebels in batting. Both teamsfinished with 6 hits.
