Mrs. Cartwright, 79, died March 21, 2007, at Brook Manor NursingCenter. She was born in Lucas Grove on Oct. 7, 1927, to SamuelLeroy House and Ethel Rogers House.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Southway BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, L.L.Cartwright; and her granddaughter, Kimberly Dawn Cartwright.

Survivors are her sons, Leroy Cartwright and wife Clydia, ofBrookhaven, Jessie Cartwright and wife Peggy, of Summit, MikeCartwright and wife Belinda, of Gulfport, and Paul Cartwright andwife Myrtle, of Brookhaven; her sister, Irene Howell, of YazooCity; and her grandchildren, Kevin Cartwright, of Brookhaven, KellySmith, of Bogue Chitto, Angie Licking and Ky Cartwright, both ofBrookhaven, Shawn Cartwright and Russ Cartwright, both of Atlanta,Ga., Ken Cartwright, of Bentonville, Ark., Heather Douglas and KimCarter, both of Brookhaven; and her 19 great-grandchildren.

Oris Cameron

Services for Oris Cameron, of McComb, are 1 p.m. Saturday, March24, at Denwiddie Street Church of Christ with burial in DinahCemetery in McComb. Peoples Funeral Home in McComb is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is Friday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home,with family hour from 5 until 6 p.m.

Mrs. Cameron, 81, died March 17, 2007, in McComb. She was bornon July 4, 1925, to Ellis and Ada Weatherspoon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, DorseyCameron Sr.; her daughters, Velma Louise Cameron and Ada LeeBarnes; and her six brothers and one sister.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, Ethel Quinnand Wilmer, of Brandon, Dorsey Cameron Jr. and Margie, ofBrookhaven, Ellis Cameron and Dorothy, and Channie Leonard, all ofMcComb, Inez Porter and Joe, of Laurel, Virginia McCray and Bob,Fred Cameron and Pearlystine, all of McComb, Douglas Cameron andRuby, of Chatawa, and M.D. Cameron and Mae, of Tupelo; her 39grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren and fivegreat-great-grandchildren; her two sisters, Cora Lee Davis, ofMcComb, and Ethel Mae Charleston, of Jackson; a goddaughter, GloriaLull; a sister-in-law, Icie Weatherspoon; and a host of nieces,nephews, cousins, other relatives, church family and friends.

Robert Tex Floyd Jr.

Robert Tex Floyd Jr., 47, of Sontag, died , March 20, 2007, athis residence. A memorial service will be held at a later date inHouston, Texas.

He was born on Feb. 4, 1960, to Robert Tex Floyd and ElaineDixon Floyd.

He worked with the Department of Human Resources with the Stateof Mississippi. He was retired from his job in customer servicewith Southwest Airlines. He attended Shiloh Baptist Church.

Survivors are his parents and his sisters, Denise Elliott, ofPearland, Texas, and Janelle Lafleur, of Crosby, Texas.

Nancy Geneva Whitaker Lambert

Services for Nancy Geneva Whitaker Lambert, of Monticello, are 2p.m. Saturday, March 24, at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel inMonticello with burial in Bethshan Cemetery in Monticello.

Visitation is Friday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. Lambert, 71, died March 22, 2007, at Lawrence CountyHospital. She was born on June 12, 1935, to Henry Preston Whitakerand Jessie Lee Blackwell Whitaker.

She was retired from her job as a nurse with Pinecrest NursingHome in Hazlehurst. She was a member of New Hebron BaptistChurch.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, HubertOlan Lambert; and one grandchild.

Survivors are her sons, Henry Calhoun and Mitchell Lambert, bothof Monticello; her daughters, Wanda Oliver, of New Hebron, and GwenYoung, of Jayess; her brother, Henry Oscar Whitaker, of CrystalSprings; her 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth Burgess Smith Rushing

A memorial service for Elizabeth Burgess Smith Rushing will beheld at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 24, at Riverwood Family FuneralService Chapel with burial in Riverwood Memorial Park.

Visitation is Saturday from noon until the time of theservice.

Mrs. Rushing died on March 21, 2007, in Austin, Texas. She wasborn in Lincoln County on May 10, 1915, to Charles L. Burgess andHattie Amelia Burgess.

She was a graduate of New Sight High School and Copiah-LincolnJunior College. A member of Clear Branch Baptist Church, she was ahomemaker and an avid gardener. She was known for her gentlespirit, quiet manner, and quick wit. She always had a twinkle inher eyes and a smile that could light up a room.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands, David L.Smith and Clarence Rushing, as well as by five brothers and twosisters.

She is survived by her daughter, Ann Smith Hunt and husbandWaylon, of Austin; her grandchildren, Terri Ford and husband Ramie,of Clinton, Stacey Murphy and husband John, of Friendswood, Texas,and Keith Hunt and wife Shree, of Delhi, La.; hergreat-grandchildren, Kelcey Grubbs, Brianne Grubbs, Mary ClaireFord, Hunter Murphy, Addison Murphy, Andrew Murphy, Madelyn Ashley,Mason Hunt and McKinley Hunt; her sister, Nell Ford Day ofClarksville, Tenn.; and numerous nieces, nephews and other familymembers and friends.

Maston Everette Woodward

Services for Maston Everette Woodward, of Monticello, are 11a.m. Saturday, March 24, at Wilson Funeral Home in Monticello withburial in New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Monticello.

Visitation is Friday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Woodward, 80, died March 22, 2007, at Guardian Angel Hospicein Raleigh. He was born on Nov. 27, 1926, to John Woodward and ElmaFerguson Woodward.

He was a retired electrician. He was a member of the Church ofGod of Prophecy. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.

Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers; and twosisters.

Survivors are his wife, Pauline C. Woodward, of Monticello; hisson, Paul Everette Woodward, of Ohio; his daughter, Karen Lea, ofHouston, Texas; his sisters, Yvonne Gable, of Brookhaven, andJohnnie Brock, of Jackson; his five grandchildren and 14great-grandchildren.
