BA girls go 1-2 in JA tourney

JACKSON — The Brookhaven Academy Lady Cougar slowpitch softballteam went 1-for-2 Saturday in the Jackson Academy Tournament.
Brookhaven fell to Adams County Christian School 10-0 in thefirst game, beat Jackson Academy 4-1 in the second contest and fellto ACCS 7-6 for the second time in the tourney.
Brookhaven pitcher Lindsey Nations went 1-for-2.
ACCS 10, Brookhaven 0
In the first game, Anna Katelyn Mangold led the Lady Cougarswith 3 singles. Alex Grant singled twice. Katie Nettles and KellieBrady hit safely.
Brookhaven 4, JA 1
In the Lady Cougars’ only win. Kelli Snider ripped a triple.Layne Jordan and Mangold each ripped 2 singles. Singling wereShelby Farmer, Grant, Nettles, Brady and Nettles.
ACCS 7, Brookhaven 6
In the second loss to ACCS, Grant ripped 4 singles forBrookhaven. Rutland singled 3 times. Following with 2 singles eachwere Snider, Farmer and Jordan. Addie Case, Anna Jolly, Mangold,Brady and Nations hit safely.
