William Hudson

Services for William Hudson, of Hattiesburg, are noon on Saturday,May 12, at the Cottrell Memorial Christian Methodist Episcopal(CME) Church in Hattiesburg with burial in Highland Cemetery inHattiesburg. Reeves Funeral Home in Mt. Olive is in charge ofarrangements.

Visitation is Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the serviceat the church.

Elder Hudson, 88, died April 28, 2007, at his residence. He was anative of Lincoln County.

He was a CME minister and served over 20 congregations inSouth/Central Mississippi. He was a veteran of World War II, and acarpenter as a hobby.

Survivors are his wife, Essie McSwain Hudson, of Hattiesburg; hisbrothers, M.L. and Johnnie B. Hudson, both of Brookhaven; and hisfavorite nieces, Theresa Dukes and Jacquelyn Thomas, ofHattiesburg.

Mardessie Mae Richardson Watson

Services for Mardessie Mae Richardson Watson, of Brookhaven, are 2p.m. Friday, May 11, at Brookhaven Living Word Center in Brookhavenwith burial in Rose Hill Church Cemetery. Williams Mortuary is incharge of arrangements.

Visitation is Thursday from 1 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home,with family hour from 6 until 7 p.m.

Mrs. Watson, 92, died May 4, 2007, at her residence. She was bornin Lincoln County on Jan. 4, 1915, to Dunk Richardson and JulieRichardson.

She was retired. She was a graduate of Greenwood School. She was amember of the New Apostolic Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Willie MooreWatson; her daughters, Lillie Mae Turner and Barbara Anne Watson;her son, C.S. Bullock; her brothers, Luther Richardson, OscarRichardson, Dunk Richardson, H.C. Richardson, W.L. Richardson, R.J.Richardson and R.D. Richardson; her sister, Jessie Richardson; andher great-grandson.

Survivors are her daughters, Katherine B. Bolds, Mardessie MaeBlack and husband Eulis, Dorothy Ann Powell and husband Andrew andLizzie Mae Watson, all of Brookhaven, Julia Mallett and husbandSamuel, of Lansing, Mich., and Willie Mae Smith, of Milwaukee,Wis.; her sons, Henry Lee Watson and wife Cynthia, of Brookhaven,and Willie Watson Jr., of Frostproof, Fla.; her brother, M.C.Richardson, of Bogue Chitto; her sister, Wessie Harrison, ofKennedy, Texas; her 36 grandchildren; 101 great-grandchildren; 17great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, otherrelatives and friends, including a very special friend, JuanitaThadison.
