Services for Harold Edward Morgan, of McComb, are 2 p.m.Wednesday, May 16, at Bogue Chitto Baptist Church at Carter’s Creekwith burial in Bogue Chitto Baptist Church Cemetery. The Revs.Jimmy Houston and Mike Gibson will officiate. Catchings FuneralHome in McComb is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home,and on Wednesday from noon until the time of the funeral at thechurch.
Mr. Morgan, 77, died May 13, 2007, at his residence. He was bornin Pike County on Oct. 29, 1929, to Woodard Morgan and Annie BoydMorgan.
He was retired from the Mississippi Department ofTransportation. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and raising hisbeagles. He was an avid sports fan. He was a member of Bogue ChittoBaptist Church at Carter’s Creek.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
Survivors are his wife, Mary Mengele Morgan; his sons, GeorgeMorgan and wife Sheila, of McComb, and Mitch Morgan and wifeRegina, of McComb; his daughters, Mary Ann Morgan Adams and husbandGreg, of Brookhaven, and Nancy Morgan Rowell and husband Jimmy, ofMcComb; his brother, Donald Morgan and wife Fay, of McComb; hissister, Annie Joe McCullough and husband Bob, of McComb; hisgrandchildren, Ross Morgan, Jacob Morgan, Taylor Morgan, LukeMorgan, Jason Boone, Matt Boone, Morgan Boyd and husband Daryl,Kelly Philebar and husband Dean, and Whitney Rowell; and hisgreat-grandchildren, Ana-Katherine R. Boyd and Grey Boyd; andnumerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Pallbearers are Ross Morgan, Jacob Morgan, Larry Morgan, JasonBoone, Matt Boone and Robbie McCullough.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be madein Mr. Morgan’s name to Gilbert Home Health and Hospice, 119 WestPresley Blvd., Suite D, McComb, MS 39648; or St. Jude Children’sResearch Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905.
