Services for Roy Nielsen, of Brookhaven, are 11 a.m. Wednesday,May 30, at Brookhaven Funeral Home on Natchez Avenue with burial inRamah Baptist Church Cemetery in Franklin County.

Visitation is Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m., and again from5 until 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Mr. Nielsen, 84, died May 27, 2007, at Rankin Medical Center. Hewas born in Chicago, Ill., on March 29, 1923, to Erling Nielsen andKaroline Ericksen Nielsen.

He was a retired mechanic with Con-Edison Power Co., in NewYork. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II. He was a memberof the Lutheran faith.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his wife, FloreitaAlice Boyd Nielsen.

Survivors are his son, Roy Earl Nielsen, of Flowood; and hisdaughter, Alice Carolyn Nielsen, of Pearl.
