Jefferson Davis County law enforcement officials areinvestigating the death of a New Hebron man Friday night, officialssaid.

“We have an ongoing death investigation at this time, but Ican’t say much more than that,” said Jefferson Davis County SheriffHenry McCullum.

Sean Little, 24, of New Hebron, was killed Friday night between7:30 and 7:45 p.m. outside the residence of Gaylin Daughdrill, 18,of 23 Sonat Road, in Jefferson Davis County, McCullum said. Littledied of blunt force trauma to the head, he said.

Daughdrill is in custody at the Jefferson Davis County Jailpending charges.

“By all indications, there was an altercation between Little andDaughdrill,” McCullum said, but he could not elaborate. “That’s allI know right now. We’re still trying to sort this out.”

McCullum said Little was found by deputies who wereinvestigating a 911 call relayed from the Lawrence County Sheriff’sDepartment about a body in the road at Daughdrill’s address.

Little was transported by ambulance to Jefferson Davis CommunityHospital, where he was pronounced dead, the sheriff said.

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation and the districtattorney’s office are assisting in the investigation, McCullumsaid.
