Services for Peter Sheppard, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m. Saturday,June 30, at Living Word Faith Ministry Church in Brookhaven withburial in Hillcrest Cemetery in Brookhaven. Williams Mortuary is incharge of arrangements.

Visitation is Saturday from 1 until 2 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Sheppard, 64, died June 24, 2007, at King’s DaughtersMedical Center. He was born on Dec. 31, 1942, to Willie Sheppardand Alberta Sheppard.

He was retired. He was a member of of New Vision FellowshipChurch.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his sisters, WillieElla McClue and Alberta Sheppard; his brothers, Philander Sheppardand Willie Sheppard Jr.; and his granddaughter, DonekiaSheppard.

Survivors are his wife, Johnnie Mae Sheppard, of Brookhaven; hisson, Elmer Leggett, of Brookhaven; his daughters, Alice Thompsonand husband Arthur, Jacqueline Woods and husband J.D., Carol AnnSmith, and Patricia Sheppard, all of Brookhaven, and AnnetteSheppard, of Moultrie, Ga.; his stepchildren, Mahomes Jones, ofBrookhaven, and Alfred Parker, of Amite, La.; his brother, FreddieLee Sheppard, of New York, N.Y.; his sisters, Estella Scott andCorrine Smith, both of Greenville; nine grandchildren and twogreat-grandchildren; and a very special sister-in-law, RosieSheppard, of Elkhart, Ind.
