Mildred Izard Broome

Services for Mildred Izard Broome, of Wesson, are 2 p.m.Tuesday, July 24, at Sardis Baptist Church, with burial in SardisCemetery. Stringer Family Funeral Home in Hazlehurst is in chargeof arrangements.

Visitation is Monday from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home,and on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at thechurch.

Mrs. Broome, 93, died July 22, 2007, at Pine Crest Guest Home.She was born May 2, 1914, to Lee and Willie Jane Izard, ofHazlehurst.

She was an active member of Sardis Baptist Church most of heradult life where she taught Sunday School and Training Union, sangin the choir and served as church clerk for a record number ofyears.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Clyde Broome; her son,Lee Ellis Broome; her sister, Mary Nell Beall; and her brothers,Cliburn and Carl Izard.

Survivors are her son, Billy Broome and wife Tommie, of Clinton;her brothers, Carroll Izard and wife Barbara, of Newport, Del., andFrancis Izard and wife Clarice, of Birmingham, Ala.; hergrandchildren, Anita Cliburn, Janet Broome and David Broome; hergreat-grandchildren, John Michael and Matthew Cliburn, and Hannah,Rachel and Bryan Broome.

Tommy C. Kyzar

Services for Tommy C. Kyzar, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m. Tuesday,July 24, at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Brookhavenwith burial in the church cemetery. Riverwood Family FuneralService is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Monday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Kyzar, 46, died July 19, 2007, in Marion County. He was bornon Aug. 17, 1960, to James Robert Kyzar and Betty Sibley Kyzar.

He was a foreman with Lincoln County District One. He was PastMaster of the Fair River Masonic Lodge No. 203 and Past WorthyPatron of Eastern Star Topisaw Chapter No. 326. He was a member ofthe American Legion Post in Jackson, Moose Lodge No. 1968 andWahabi Temple Shriners, of Jackson. He was a member of PleasantGrove United Methodist Church

Preceding him in death were his grandparents, J.C. and DelmaSibley, of Columbia, and James Hezzie Kyzar and Jamie Ruth TownsendKyzar, of Brookhaven.

Survivors are his parents; his brothers, Robert Wendell Kyzarand wife Regina, David Kendall Kyzar, and special sister-in-law,Bonnie Kyzar, and Glenn Kyzar and wife Sherry, and his twinbrother, John Timothy Kyzar, all of Brookhaven; his nieces, TinaKyzar Cox, her husband, Craig, and their son, Cade, of Natchez,Heather Martin and husband, Roger, of Brookhaven; his nephews,Bryan Kyzar, of Natchez, Justin and Jason Kyzar, and Chris Hughesand wife Christi, all of Brookhaven; and a host of cousins.
