Oliver Vernon ‘Bo’ Ford

Services for Oliver Vernon “Bo” Ford, of Chicago, Ill., formerlyof Brookhaven, are 10 a.m. Saturday, July 28, at Mt. OliveMissionary Baptist Church in Brookhaven with burial in the churchcemetery. Williams Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday from 1 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home,with family hour from 6 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Ford, 73, died July 19, 2007, in Chicago. He was born inLincoln County on Dec. 31, 1934, to Jessie Ford Sr. and Lillie MaeFord.

He was a 1953 graduate of Progress High School. He was a retiredfarmer and a member of New Covenant Missionary Baptist Church inChicago.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and his brother, JessieFord Jr.

Survivors are his son, Vernon Ford and wife April, of UnionSprings, Ala.; his sister, Hettries Littleton, of Chicago; hisnephew, Merlin Littleton and wife Patricia, of Brookhaven; hisnieces, Marvie L. Walford and husband Dennis, and Hettries LucianaLittleton, all of Chicago; his six grandchildren and onegreat-grandchild; and a host of great- and great-great-nieces andnephews, other relatives, and friends.

Armonia Price

Services for Armonia Price, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m. Saturday,July 28, at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Brookhaven withburial in Hillcrest Cemetery in Brookhaven. R.E. Tyler Funeral Homeis in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday from noon until 8 p.m. at the funeral home,with family present from 7 until 8 p.m..

Mrs. Price, 96, died July 20, 2007, at the home of Tony andRemona Martin in Brookhaven. She was born on Oct. 14, 1910, toBizar Price and Genora Sutton Price.

She worked for many years in New Orleans, La., at the Coca-Colaplant. She was a member of the NAACP and the Eastern Star.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her daughter, ArlenaBryant; her sisters, Rosie McArthar, Ardella Bryant and Dora MaySmith; her grandchildren, Dorothy Jean Bridges, Johnnie L. Bridgesand Robert Earl Johnson; her great-grandchildren, Anthony Lloyd andCarl Bridges; and her great-great-grandchild, Connie Bridges.

Survivors are her daughter, Arcola Smith, of Brookhaven; herthree grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; more than 50great-great-grandchildren; and sevengreat-great-great-grandchildren.

Services for Ora N. White, of Brookhaven, are 1 p.m. Saturday,July 28, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witness in Brookhaven withburial in Zion Hill Church Cemetery in Wesson. Williams Mortuary isin charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Friday from 1 until 5 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mrs. White, 73, died July 22, 2007, at Southwest MississippiRegional Medical Center in McComb. She was born on April 20, 1934,to Prentiss Nelson Sr. and Janie Nelson.

She was retired. She was a member of Kingdom Hall of JehovahWitness.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, HomerWhite; her brother, Clarence Nelson; and her sister, Ruby LeePollock.

Survivors are her daughter, Audrey Gilmore, of Brookhaven; heradopted daughter, Katrina Wilcox, of Savannah, Ga.; her adoptedsons, Victor Johnson and Leron Johnson, both of Brookhaven; herbrother, Prentiss Nelson Jr., of Louisiana; her sister, Nancy Gray,of Brookhaven; her grandson, Demeticus Nelson, of Brookhaven; herfive great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, otherrelatives and friends.
