Preston Barber Berry, 18, died Aug. 5, 2007, from injuriessustained in an automobile accident in Copiah County. Visitationwill be from 5 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 7, at Stringer FamilyFuneral Home in Hazlehurst. Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday atFirst Baptist Church in Hazlehurst with burial in the HazlehurstCemetery.
With a smile on his face, Preston enjoyed life to the fullest. Afew of his hobbies were football, hunting and skiing. He never didanything just a little bit. He could not be still; his motor wasalways running – Preston was wide open. He stopped and talked tomost everyone and never met a stranger. If you were in a room ofpeople, you could not help noticing him making everyone laugh.There is more laughter in Heaven now that Preston is there. He wasbigger than life. Preston made some of the best friends in theworld by being a best friend. Friends and family say Preston willleave a huge hole – nothing will ever be the same. You have nevermet a person quite like Preston.
Survivors include his parents, Larry and Judy Guynes Berry, ofHazlehurst; his brother, Eric Wayne Lea, of Hazlehurst; hismaternal grandfather, Edwin Guynes, of Folsom, La.; and numerousaunts, uncles and cousins.
