Mary Young Stokes, 84, beloved wife of the late George H.Stokes, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 4 at her residencein Gretna, La.

She born on June 22, 1923 in Standing Rock, Ala. Her parentswere Leonard T. Young and Iris Glas Young.

Survived by her only son Terry C. Stokes Sr. and wife Mary;sister Sue Young; grandchildren Theresa Becnel and her daughterLauren, Juli Stokes-Soniat du Fossat and husband Jean-Claude, TerryC. Stokes Jr. and wife Heidi and their daughter Hannah.

Services will be held at Hartman Funeral Home in McComb onFriday, Sept. 7. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. withfuneral services beginning at 1 p.m. in the Hartman Funeral HomeChapel, burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Summit.
