Services for Hiram Cletis Smith, of Bogue Chitto, will be heldat 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 13, at Riverwood Family FuneralService Chapel with burial in Pleasant Hill Baptist ChurchCemetery.

Visitation is Wednesday from 5 until 9 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Smith, 85, died Sept. 11 2007, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born on Feb. 13, 1922, to Hiram Smith and MaggieDunigan.

He was retired from International Paper Co., after 31 years ofservice. He was a World War II veteran of the United States Army.He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his granddaughter,Kimberly Louise Anthony; and his brothers, Willie Ray Smith andJames Colon Smith.

Survivors are his wife, Anna Bell Hall Smith, of Bogue Chitto;his son, Ronnie Smith and wife Cathey, of Brookhaven; hisdaughters, Doris Farmer and husband John, of Brookhaven, andPearlean Anthony and Wayne Johnson, of Bay Springs; his brothers,John Wesley Smith and wife Gail, and Earl Smith and wife LessieAnn, all of Brookhaven; his sister, Earline Smith Terrell andhusband Lynton, of Edwards; and his grandchildren, Bobby Martin andwife Jackie, Shellie Jordan and husband Randy, Belinda Anthony,Ryan Smith and wife Lacey, Cassie Smith Fontenot and husband John;and his great-grandchildren, Sawyer Jordan, Brayden Anthony, CoyFontenot and Trinity Martin.
