Ole Brook draws large crowd Sat.

Organizers touted the 33rd Ole Brook Festival as being among thebiggest and best ever in the event’s history.
Officials estimated 10,000 people had attended the event thatbegan Friday night with musical entertainment in Railroad Park,vendors and other activities. The festival continued all daySaturday and into the night with a concert by Christian musicNewSong and friends.
“I’ve been to several festivals and I’ve never seen this manypeople,” Mitch Rayborn said Saturday afternoon as his wife Rhondasold her “How’s Ya Mama & ‘Em?” T-shirts at her booth.
Rayborn was one of 160 vendors participating in the festival.Chamber officials said all 250 spaces for booths, with some vendorstaking multiple spaces, were sold.
Festival volunteer Jeff Doremus said the high-quality vendorsand “fantastic” weather combined to help make this year’s festivala major success.
