Annual political rally scheduled for Thursday

Organizers expect a large gathering Thursday night at theLincoln County Multi-Purpose Building for a free fish fry andpolitical rally featuring candidates for state and local electedoffices.
“It’s been pretty big in the past,” said District 53 Rep. BobbyMoak, D-Bogue Chitto.
Moak, who is one of several sponsors for the 6:30 p.m. event,said he and other politically active county residents hold theevent annually. Past events have been held at the Woodmen of theWorld building.
Although it does not carry a name, it is held every year andtypically draws large crowds, he said.
The largest, Moak said, was probably four years ago during thelast countywide election. The event drew approximately 2,000Southwest Mississippi residents.
