Dorothy ‘Dot’ Lewis

Services for Dorothy “Dot” Lewis, of Monticello, will be held at1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 17, at Monticello First Baptist Churchwith burial in Pearl River Valley Cemetery in Silver Creek. R.E.Tyler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Visitation is Tuesday from noon until 5 p.m. at the funeralhome.
Mrs. Lewis, 68, died Oct. 13, 2007, at Saint Dominic-JacksonMemorial Hospital in Jackson. She was born on Nov. 2, 1938, to LigeRobinson and Callie Kennedy Robinson.
She was a retired Lawrence County educator. She was a member ofMonticello First Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and her brother, CurtisRobinson.
Survivors are her husband, Silas Lewis, of Monticello; her son,Silas Lewis Jr., of Monticello; her daughters, Annette Williams, ofChicago, Ill., Daphne Nathaniel, of Jackson, Sonia Eley, of AlcornState, and Yolande Brister, of Prentiss; her brothers, EligeRobinson, Sheridell Robinson and Will Robinson, all of Brookhaven,and Johnny Robinson, of Greenville; and her 10 grandchildren.
