Services for Helen Thompson, of Brookhaven, will be held at 11a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 18, at Kynett United Methodist Church inBrookhaven with burial in Ebenezer Church Cemetery in Brookhaven.Williams Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Visitation is Wednesday from 1 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home,with family hour from 6 until 7 p.m.

Miss Thompson, 61, died Oct. 12, 2007, at her residence. She wasborn on March 23, 1946, to George Thompson Sr. and MazieThompson.

She was a 1964 graduate of Alexander High School. She wasretired from Illinois Bell Telephone Co., in Chicago, Ill. Aftermoving back to Brookhaven, she worked as a certified nursingassistant with Silver Cross Home and Haven Hall Health Care Center.She was a member of Kynett United Methodist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; her brothers, GeorgeThompson Jr. and Harold Thompson; and her sister, PatriciaLocke.

Survivors are her sisters, Mamie Banks, Blanche Cason and MaryLynn Watson and husband Wilfort Watson, all of Brookhaven; herbrothers, Elder Thompson and wife Diana Thompson, of Brookhaven,and Charles Thompson and wife Audrey Thompson, of Alexandria, La.;and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.
