Services for John Henry Chatman, of Brookhaven, are 2 p.m., onSaturday, Oct. 20, at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church withburial in the church cemetery.

Visitation is Friday from 1 until 7 p.m. at Williams Mortuarywith family hour from 6 until 7 p.m.

Mr. Chatman, 64, died Oct. 11, 2007, at King’s Daughters MedicalCenter. He was born in Lincoln County on Jan. 25, 1943, to P.J.Lenoir and Rosie Lee Chatman.

He was a 1967 graduate of Alexander High School. He retired fromthe Brookhaven Housing Authority in 2003. He was a member ofMacedonia M.B. Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors are his wife, Daisy Chatman, of Brookhaven; his sons,Dontray Williams and Fredrick Chatman and wife Lakeshia, all ofBrookhaven; his daughter, Clancy Chatman, of Brookhaven; hissisters, Linda Little and Barbara Ann Davis and husband Vic, all ofJackson; his brothers, James Chatman and wife Jackie, of Jackson,and Edward Lenoir and wife Carrie, of Brookhaven; his fivegrandchildren; an uncle, Ellis Chatman and wife Velma, ofBrookhaven; an aunt, Margie Griffin and husband Issac, of Jackson;and his mother-in-law, Essie B. Williams, of Brookhaven.
