Warren Hinton

Services for Warren Hinton, of Joaquin, Texas, will be held atnoon on Wednesday, Oct. 24, at Watson & Sons Chapel in Center,Texas, with the Rev. Mike Cross officiating. Interment will followat Jackson Cemetery in Joaquin.

Visitation is Tuesday from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeralhome.

Mr. Hinton, 85, died Oct. 20, 2007, at a Nacogdoches hospital.He was born on Aug. 3, 1922, in Shelby County, Texas, to W.T.”Bill” Hinton and Vergie Ann Taylor Hinton.

Mr. Hinton was a member of Jackson Missionary Baptist Church inJoaquin. He was employed with Cameron Iron Works.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, MargueriteHinton, his sons, Wayne Hinton and David Lynn Hinton; and hissister, Syble Hooper.

Survivors are his son, Warren E. Hinton, of Steamboat Springs,Colo.; his grandchildren, Simeon Pruski, Brian Hinton, JohannaPettus, Josh Hinton, Haley Shead, Christian Sedlmeyer and TinaOverstreet; his great-grandchildren, Alexndra Pruski, Seth Pruski,Tom Sedlmeyer, Ryan Overstreet and Katherine Grace Shead; hissisters, Mary C. Lewis, of Joaquin, and Doris Dickey, of Center;his brothers, T.O. Hinton, of Beaumont, and Jimmy Hinton, ofJoaquin.

Pallbearers are Bruce Koonce, Taylor Bush, Norris Taylor, WalterWalla, Richard Hinton and Steve Hinton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to The Jon, Macy andMisty Bush Foundation.

William Alfred ‘Bill’ Wallace Sr.

Services for William Alfred “Bill” Wallace Sr., of Roxie, willbe held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, at Meadville Baptist Churchwith burial in Roxie City Cemetery. Marshall Funeral Home is incharge of arrangements.

A wake service will be held on Tuesday at Meadville BaptistChurch from 7 until 9 p.m. Visitation is Wednesday from noon untilservice time at the church.

Mr. Wallace, 65, died Oct. 21, 2007, at Franklin MemorialHospital in Meadville. He was born in Bude on Jan. 21, 1942, toCleveland and Willie Beatrice Coleman Wallace.

He was a Vietnam veteran and served eight years in the UnitedStates Army in the 101st Airborne Division.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, GloriaMcMillan Wallace; and his daughter, Allison Denise Wallace.

Survivors are his children, Billy Wallace, Stephanie Lindsey,Paola Covelli, Teresa Smith and Gary Wallace; his sisters, PeggyCorley and Ida Todd; his four grandchildren; and a host of nieces,nephews, other relatives and friends.
